Originating in the Dominican Republic, Bachata has grown into one of the world's most popular Latin dance styles. Known for its smooth movements, musicality, and strong partner connection, it's easy to learn, incredibly fun, and suitable for dancers of all experience levels.
Our weekly Wednesday classes are friendly, engaging, and progressively structured, helping you build confidence while learning new techniques and combinations each week in a supportive environment.
Classes are taught in rotating 4-week blocks. We recommend joining at the start of a new block so you can build a strong foundation, progress with your group, and get the most out of every class.

Your learning pathway
Most students start in our Beginner level. This is an 8-week course, designed for complete beginners. Once you complete the course, you’ll be automatically enrolled into Improvers 1, so you can keep progressing without any stress.
Beginner – 8-week Syllabus

Intermediate / Advanced – by assessment, depending on your progress

Studio: Drama 3
Our Beginner Bachata Course follows a clear 8-week syllabus, split into two 4-week blocks, making it easy and stress-free to learn from the ground up.
You’ll start with the basics, build confidence step by step, and finish feeling comfortable dancing with others – all in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.

Studio: Drama 4
At this level, you’ll explore the fundamentals of Bachata Sensual, focusing on body movement, isolations, and styling, and incorporating them into combinations with what you already know. With a 16-week rotating syllabus, you can join anytime. This level is essential to master before progressing to the Intermediate level.

Studio: Drama 3
After completing the Beginner level, this course helps you refine your open-hold technique and build confidence in social dancing. You’ll focus on leading and following techniques while learning fun, dynamic combinations over a 16-week rotating syllabus. This level is essential to master before progressing to the improvers 2 level.

Studio: Drama 4
The Intermediate level is for students with a strong understanding of Bachata Sensual fundamentals. You’ll focus on advanced techniques, complex movements, musicality, and styling to elevate your social dancing. This level emphasises precision, creativity, and fast-paced combinations, challenging you every step of the way. Completion of at least 16 weeks of Improvers 2 level is required, along with an assessment to join.

Studio: Drama 3
A relaxed, guided practice session to work on what you learned in class. Teachers are available for questions and feedback, music is playing, and you can practice or social dance at your own pace with fellow students.
